A talented artist can find beauty in just about every object and that certainly seems true for Canadian Michael Davies. The photographer, based in Pangnirtung in Canada’s High Arctic, managed to catch these stunning photos with his friend Markus. The pair filled numerous flasks with hot tea, took a Ski-Doo ride to the top of a mountain, just 20km south of the Arctic circle, and started to snap away. Markus stood in front of the camera and threw the full flasks of boiling liquid above his head while Michael captured the results. The temperatures at the top of the mountain can drop as low as -40 degrees C, so the moment the hot liquid hit the cold air the tea froze instantly. The end results were the incredible photos below. Who knew a simple flask of tea hid such beauty.
