A group of car passengers on safari in South Africa got the shock of their lives at the beginning of March, as they witnessed a pride of lions take down a huge buffalo just metres from their car. The astonishing attack took place in Kruger National Park and saw the buffalo try to escape the pride by running across a busy road, only to be taken down by one of the big cats right in front of the shocked tourists. The incredible footage was captured by one of the park’s tour guides, who apparently told the frightened tourists: “Everything will be fine, as long as you don’t move.” See below for a selection of the stunning images.
