The World’s Largest Underwater Wedding
Many couples like to use their wedding day to show people just how ‘deep’ their love is for one another, but newlyweds Ewa Staronska and Pawel Burkowski took this term a little too literally in August 2011. The Polish couple decided to hold their wedding at the bottom of a lake at the Koparki Diving Base, in Jaworzno, Poland. The bride and groom used waterproof text messages and sign language to communicate with each other and the priest during the ceremony. Perhaps most bizarre of all though, was the fact they managed to persuade 303 guests to join them, making this the largest underwater wedding on record.
