If you’ve often read or watched The Lord of the Rings and dreamt of being able to live in The Shire, well now your dreams have come true… well sort of. The Hobbit Motel in Waikato, New Zealand is every Tolkien fans fantasy, as the holiday park has two chalets that are based on the famous Hobbit homes. The units are built into the side of a grassy hill and even have the trademark round doors and windows to really make guests feel like they’re part of the famous fantasy book. Each chalet can sleep up to 6 people but, if you’re part of a large party, the holiday park also has other chalets shaped like a train, plane or a boat!
