If the thought of staying in a hotel made of ice wasn’t exciting enough, the Swedish Ice Hotel also provide incredible ice sculptures in every room. Due to the limitations of the building material (ice has a nasty habit of melting in the summer you see) the hotel has to be rebuilt every year and this gives the owners the opportunity to create new masterpieces every winter. This year’s theme is based all around animals, with the piece-de-resistance being a beautiful elephant carved from a block of ice. The hotel is located in Swedish Lapland near the small village of Jukkasjarvi and the images of the sculptures can be seen below.
