1,300 ft above the Colorado river in Glenwood Springs, stands a rather impressive (and incredibly scary) structure, known as the Giant Canyon Swing. The swing was designed by Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park owner, Steve Beckley and is placed right on the top of a 1,300 ft deep canyon. The ride swings out over the cliff edge, reaching speeds of 50mph and providing the brave riders with incredible views down to the Colorado River below (if they dare to open their eyes that is). The swing is so terrifying, that the designer himself has actually only ever ridden it once since it was first opened!
