As far as picture-postcard towns go, you’d be struggling to find a more beautiful or scenic place than Riomaggiore on the north-west coast of Italy. The small village dates all the way back to the early 13th century and is famous for its wine, colourful houses, stunning views and beautiful harbour and bay. The village is part of Italy’s Cinque Terre (5 beautiful fishing villages along this stretch of coastline) and is a huge tourist attraction for the area. If you’re a sucker for a good photo opportunity, you may just find you struggle to put your camera down in this stunning village! It’s just shot straight to the top of our ‘must-visit’ list.
